In 2024, Maejo University supported 7,398 low-income students through the Student Loan Fund (SLF), an increase from 5,969 students in 2023, reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 4: Quality Education. The total financial aid distributed amounted to 425,694,750 Baht, ensuring that students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds can continue their studies without financial barriers.
In addition to SLF support, several faculties implemented their own financial assistance programs for students in the lowest 20% household income group, such as the Faculty of Fisheries Technology, the Faculty of Renewable Energy, and the School of Social Studies. These initiatives demonstrate the university’s proactive approach to educational equity, reducing socioeconomic inequalities, and strengthening its role as an inclusive institution that leaves no one behind in access to higher education.
