Maejo
University demonstrates a strong institutional commitment to protecting labor
rights and promoting fair employment in line with national labor laws and
international standards. The Council Officials and Employees, in coordination
with the Faculty Senate and Labor Organization, maintain regular dialogue with
the university administration to ensure transparent communication on employee
benefits, workplace safety, and equitable compensation. The university’s
inclusive policy framework guarantees equal rights and protections for both
Thai and foreign employees, regardless of nationality or status. A dedicated
labor committee supports international staff through legal guidance, welfare
assistance, and integration support. Maejo also enforces policies on
healthcare, fair wages, housing, and occupational safety—reflecting its
alignment with ILO conventions and Thailand’s Labor Protection Act. This
proactive governance reinforces Maejo’s position as a model employer
championing decent work and social justice under SDG 8.
